Garbage, Green Bin, Recycling, Leaf and Yard Waste Collection
- On Monday, May 23, 2022, there will be no green bin, blue box, yard trash, bulk waste, or garbage collection. The garbage will be collected one day later.
- Waste must be collected by 7 a.m.
- On Monday, May 23, Community Recycling Centers will be closed.
Services for licensing and by-laws
The 905-546-2782 Licensing and By-Law Phone Queue Line will be closed on Monday, May 23, and will return at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 24. Bus Schedules for HSR
- On Monday, May 23, 2022, routes that typically operate on Sundays will operate on a Sunday schedule (Victoria Day). On Monday, May 23, HSR myRide will be unavailable.
- Customers can use the HSRnow suite of products to plan their trips, which provides real-time, 24/7 access to service information, including alerts for HSR customers.
- The HSR and ATS/DARTS mask regulations are still in effect.
Ontario Works
The Ontario Works offices at 1550 Upper James St. and 250 Main St. E. are still closed for in-person customer assistance due to COVID-19 restrictions. On Monday, May 23, 2022, the Ontario Works Program, including the Special Supports Program, will end. On Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at 8:30 a.m., the phone queue line 905-546-4800 will reopen.
ATS-DARTS
- On May 23, 2022, DARTS reservations and on-street service will operate during Sunday/holiday hours. Please keep in mind that, depending on the location, the last scheduled return time for each trip will be earlier than the conclusion of on-street operation.

Enforcement and Parking
On Monday, May 23, 2022, the Hamilton Municipal Parking Systems offices will be closed. Customer service, enforcement, parking ticket adjudication/screening, and the school crossing office are all part of this. During this period, the Customer Contact Center will dispatch emergency enforcement calls.
